Immediate past President of the royal Academy of Engineering, until recently Chief Scientific Adviser at Ministry of Defence. Previously Vice-Chancellor, University of Loughborough
Dr Helen Sharman, OBE, BSc
The first British astronaut, visited the Russion MIR Space station in 1991. Currently a scientific lecturer and presenter. Helen manages the Foundation’s links with other astronauts.

Formerly a Director of Royal Dutch Shell Group companies and Chairman, Director or Consultant to companies in other industries. Visiting Professor to various Universities on technology management; School Governor.
Dr Chris Welch, CPhys, CSci, FBIS, AFAIAA
Principal Lecturer in Astronautics, Kingston University; former Chair – Space Education Council; Chair – Space Education and Outreach Committee, International Astronautical Federation.
Tony Quigley, BSc(Eng), CEng, FIEE
Worked at a senior level in the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Defence and the Department of Trade & Industry at the forefront of science and science policy.
