Dr Helen Sharman OBE, BSc
The first British astronaut; visited the Russian MIR Space Station in 1991. Currently Group Leader for Surface and Nanonalysis at the National Physical Laboratory. Helen manages the Foundation’s links with other astronauts.

Dr Chris Welch, CPhys, CSci, FBIS, AFAIAA
Previously Prinicipal Lecturer in Astronautics, Kingston University; now a Resident Faculty Member of the International Space University (ISU), Strasbourg, France and a Visiting Lecturer in Spacecraft Propulsion at Cranfield University, UK. Chris is a winner of the Sir Arthur Clarke Award for Space Education, a Director of the World Space Week Association and a Council Member of the British Interplanetary Society.
Tony Quigley, BSc(Eng), Ceng, FIEE
Worked at a senior level in the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Defence and the Department of Trade & Industry at the forefront of science and science policy.
Dr Lucie Green
Lucie is a solar researcher based at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory, UCL’s Department of Space and Climate Physics. Previously a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow and the holder of a Leverhulme Fellowship, She also sits on the board of the European Solar Physics Division of the European Physical Society.
Camilla Ween
Camilla has been involved with and supported Spacelink since shortly after its inception in the late 1990s. She is an architect and urban planner currently working for Transport for London. She believes passionately that science education needs to be more exciting and stimulating, and sees the Spacelink project as an opportunity to capture the imagination of young children of school age.
David Knight, FCCA
David is the Director of Finance/Company Secretary for the Foundation. He is a partner in Spilkin Knight, a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors. Formerly a Management Accountant with Marley Group.

Spacelink Programme Director - Dr Roger Jude, BSc, PhD
Member of the Beagle 2 Commission of Enquiry in 2004. An independent consultant and former Director of IT Architecture and Technology at the Ministry of Defence. Previously Director of Space Applications at the British National Space Centre (BNSC).
Robert Coombes
Robert is Curriculum Manager and Assistant Headteacher at Broadwater School in Godalming, Surrey - a mathematics and computing college. He is Spacelink’s adviser on education.
Tom Lyons
Tom has just taken up a post as an ESERO Teacher Fellow. Previously he was a teacher of A-level physics and electronics at Farnborough Sixth Form College. Before teaching he worked for four years for EADS Astrium, mostly on the Galileo projects. Tom has an MSc in Space Science.
Nouh Sabry
Nouh is Spacelink’s Operational Service Centre Manager. He has a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Cairo University, and runs all aspects of the Spacelink website. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Cloud Computing at University of Surrey.
Izhar Khan
Izhar is Spacelink’s Technical Marketing Manager. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Operations Management from University of Surrey, but also has a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Karachi. Izhar main focus is liaising with schools.
Sheila Kanani
Sheila is a planetary science PhD student, studying Saturn using data from the Cassini spacecraft. Her obsession with space started when she saw Apollo 13 in the cinema as a child. Since then she has taken part in Space School UK, Space Camp in Alabama and Space Camp in Russia. She successfully completed a MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics and now particularly enjoys teaching at Space School UK, visiting schools to run space-related workshops and doing science stand-up comedy in pubs and theatres.
Diana Cross, Executive Secretary
Diana handles all the administration work for the Foundation.
